(CAFS) have been a part of Ballarat since 1865 when the Ballarat & District Orphan Asylum was established. The recently opened CAFS Legacy & Research Centre houses an exhibition and collection that showcase this important personal and public history in the form of documents, photographs, films and artefacts.
