Stitching together a love of sewing, art, and
the handmade, the annual Ballarat Apron
Festival returns in a riotous celebration of all
things apron. The only apron festival in the
world, this year’s event explores ‘A Day in
the Life of an Apron in the 1950’s,’ featuring
vintage, modern and competition aprons
displays, embroidery workshops,
art exhibits, face-painting, retro
photobooth opportunities, heritage talks
as well as an indulgent café and curated
Makers Market. See aprons from the ABC
Costume Collection, including a special
selection from Ballarat’s own The Doctor
Blake Mysteries series,with special live
music performances byThe Mary Gardens.
