ou guys… in the past
three months I have
scheduled Garyvee (yes,
Gary Vaynerchuk,) Denise Duff-
ield-Thomas (aka Lucky Bitch,)
and Rebecca Campbell (Author)
for the Badassery podcast. I got
off my ass and pursued... hard!
That’s my job, that is what I love
to do. I get high on achieving
what others think is unachiev-
able. I thrive when faced with
a challenge and I kick ass until
I have the results I want (and if
you need proof, send a message
to Garyvee’s assistant and ask
him how often he heard from me,
and on what platforms.)
Seriously, we’re all just human.
THEY are human. Just human
with gatekeepers to protect them
from people who don’t know how
to get it done.
I have referred to myself over the
years as a super sleuth. Some
might use the word stalker,
which I frown upon, in a very
real way. I do not stalk. I follow.
I learn. I wait. I pitch. Rinse
and Repeat.
I get to know the people I am
targeting and find out what
makes them tick. I want to en-
sure that when I approach them
the timing is right, the purpose is
real, and the results will be epic.
I want to pitch my clients’ in a
way that makes the most sense,
not to just throw it out there and
hope for the best.
I can see the larger picture for
others in a way I can’t even do
for myself. Self promotion is a
nightmare for me and causes me
great anxiety. That’s why I got
it out in the first sentence. But
wait, the truth is, that wasn't
self promotion- it is a fact! I did
those things, and that is what I
want to do for you.
Who do you want to connect
with? What community are you
trying to build? Have you spo-
ken with your local television
and radio stations yet? Do they
know they have a badass in their
backyard?
At a conference in New Orleans
last week someone asked us to
make a list of reasons why we are
a badass MF (yeah, I can’t write
it out, sorry.) Anyway, here’s my
list.
I am a Badass because:
• I’ll ask anybody for anything.
What’s the worst they can
say? If I get a no, I’ll ask
again.. And again… and again.
• I do work that will make you
think you’ve got a football
team of PR people on it for
you.
• I run my business and I’m
also a single mom to two
teen-aged boys.
• I’m bionic. (ok, well partially
