Its important to identify and understand your own money triggers . When your money trigger rears its ugly head you know its time to find a quiet moment and reflect on the situation . What is really going on here ? man chick behind the curtain ”, like some evil overlord spying on those in her realm .
HotJar catapults that feeling in to stalker mode .
Like PushCrew , it ’ s a tiny bit of code you install on your site …
… that gives you actual screen recordings of the activities visitors take on your site . Seriously . I once watched a recording of what I assume was an older gentleman try about 4 times to type his email address in an opt-in form . I felt SO creepy , but oh my god was it fascinating . It also gives you heatmaps , so you can gauge and track how your landing pages are doing . This is incredibly helpful when it comes to page optimization -- you can literally see where your visitor ’ s attention is and is not on your page .
HotJar has a free level with limited reporting , and it can handle 2,000 pageviews per day .
Answer The Public https :// answerthepublic . com
Another one I scream about non-stop is Answer The Public . This is a must-use tool for content marketers and bloggers ( just make sure you set it from its default UK to US ). Plug in your keyword and ATP will give you 17 some awesomely rendered lists of questions that real people are searching in relation to it .
Use these lists to create content about the same subject again and again without it going stale -- and always start with the “ How ” questions !
Canva http :// canva . com
Canva is the shit . I can ’ t say enough about having a free graphic design program out there . Social media graphics , ads , ebooks , freebies -- you can do everything either free or dirtcheap with Canva ( and your loot from Pixabay !).
Hootsuite ( for Instagram ) https :// hootsuite . com
I ’ m going to go against the grain a bit here and say that while I appreciate the efficiency Hootsuite provides , I will never be a Hootsuite user because I cannot stand having its branding on my posts . I ’ d rather take the time and use the native Facebook and Twitter scheduling capabilities so all my shit comes across as ME .
I will , however , suggest using it for Instagram , since its branding will not come across , and it will notify you via its app when it ’ s time to post . You can copy your copy and hashtags that you ’ ve pre-written , and open Instagram right from Hootsuite ( but make sure you ’ re logged in to the right account if you ’ re managing several ).
So while it ’ s not a set-and-forget option for Instagram ( I pray for one , one day !), it ’ s as good as it gets for now .
Hootsuite ’ s free level allows for 20 posts across three channels monthly , so it ’ s definitely a helping hand to keep that Insta-game strong .
Zoom https :// zoom . us
Zoom is typically used as a meeting / presentation platform , but I like “ hacking ” it as an alternative to paid webinar platforms if you either don ’ t have the budget or you want to get a webinar out there fast fast fast .
Zoom ’ s free level offers recording functionality , so all you need to do is have your slides ready , do a screenshare , hit record and go . Once you close out of your presentation , it will save automatically and you can upload it to Vimeo or YouTube , then embed on your site . Bingo bango !
Slack www . slack . com
So , if you ’ re anything like me , you have a bajillion things on your mind and ideas that surge out of nowhere and a ton of awesome shit you want to get done for your business , and you maybe sometimes end up scattered .
That ’ s where another platform with a free level , Slack , comes in .
Slack is generally thought of as an instant messaging platform for teams , buuuut it has a really cool feature that I love using for just little old me : REMINDERS .
