FOREVER EVOLVING

I
s what I have done “impossible”? No. I am a
firm believer that nothing is impossible! Are on
lookers “awestruck”? I’ll leave that up to you,
to me, it’s just what I do.
Here I go. Taking a leap of faith. Taking my passion to the world in 1000 words or less.
I live in China with my husband. I have two grown
daughters. I dislike social media, selfies, putting
myself in the spotlight. I dislike being vulnerable,
finding my inner self and loving the real me, and
yet HELLO this is the business I have chosen to
be in. This is my passion. I am a success coach
who works with amazing “normal” people, helping them to develop the confidence and courage
to change their worlds. I teach them to become
vulnerable, find their real self and create the life
they deserve.
I have been a business coach for over 10 years and,
having moved countries, my business has morphed
into more professional and personal development
for those wanting to take their lives, relationships,
careers and businesses to the next level. I am also
a soft skills trainer, delivering my two passions,
learning and communication, to groups of 6-500
people.
And I am now living in China, where those who
come to listen to me don’t even speak the same
language as me. I am delivering my message to
audiences who have minimal understanding of
the concepts I am talking about, who struggle
to understand my Kiwi accent, who have no real
concept of life outside of their country. And yet I
am so in awe of the people around me. They are
open to new ideas, hungry for learning, passionate about wanting to create new opportunities for
themselves. They dream of creating a better life for
themselves and their families, with no real under-
standing as to what that looks like.
And, after being in this new country now for 4
years, I am evolving yet again, taking my business
global and online. Over the past few months, I have
been learning how to attack the scary INTERNET
and take my message to the world. I have faced
my fears and created a movement. I have created a
group designed to build a network of like-minded
women who come together to share their life experiences, learning from different cultures, different
perspectives, and different ways of being. Within
this group, I aim to widen the perspective of all
kinds of women and to provide them with opportunities that many of us don’t even know exist!
Which brings me to my topic for this post: Forever
Evolving. In this day and age of fast paced technology, our world is becoming so much smaller.
In my 30+ years in business, I have seen a major
turn around from competition to co-operation and,
now even more than ever, to collaboration. And I
believe that collaboration is going to be the key to
taking your business, and your life, forward into
the future. There is just so much we can learn
from each other!
The beautiful thing about each of us is that our
lives are not set in stone or predetermined. We are
forever evolving. There are always choices in front
of us, even if we cannot see them. We all have the
ability to create our lives any way we choose and at
any time we choose.
Evolving means changing to fit a new environment,
to meet new challenges that arise.
We evolve to survive. And what better way to
evolve than to be open to new ideas, new cultures,
and new ways of thinking.
