I
f you’re anything like me, you spend most of
your days in yoga pants and a top knot throwing Goldfish crackers at your kids and begging
for “just 10 more minutes” to get your work done.
You probably don’t really think about it but, putting on that outfit is actually changing the chemistry of your brain. Putting on that outfit is part of
the ‘fake it til you make it’ strategy.
That’s the life of a mompreneur working from
home - it’s not glamorous.
That feeling of confidence and power that comes
from slipping into those heels or zipping up the
back of that pencil skirt - each of those actions is
actually sending signals to your brain and telling it
“it’s game time baby - let’s do this shit.”
This type of daily grind can have a major impact
on your self-confidence … and not in a good way.
So, what happens when it’s time to meet with a
new client or to take your business to the next
level? How do you shake off the funk and connect
with your inner badass?
You fake it til you make it - that’s how! You put
your mind in the right place to take on any challenge and any obstacle with grace and ease.
You know that one outfit that you have? The one
that, when you put it on, you’re suddenly a sexy
boss lady who could walk into a Wall Street boardroom and command the attention of every person
at the table?
That is the power of ‘fake it ‘til you make it’ … and
it is a power you should totally allow yourself.
LIFE BEGINS AT THE END OF YOUR
COMFORT ZONE
There is plenty of controversy about the ‘fake it
‘til you make it’ method for success. Some people
think that when you’re ‘faking it’ you are being
ingenuine and living a life that isn’t in alignment
with your values.
But, in my opinion, that is an incomplete interpretation of the strategy.
“
Life begins at the end of
your comfort zone.
