SUPERWOMAN
Before I started my own business, I worked as a
practice manager for an oncology clinic. Just a
few months before my second child was born, my
boss let me know that the clinic was struggling
financially, and she might be making some cuts. I
wanted to avoid being one of those cuts so, I started looking for a new job.
Job hunting while pregnant is not ideal but, I
found a great opportunity with a huge corporation,
and I went through their interview process - which
included several telephone interviews and a Skype
meeting.
Finally, the day came for the face-to-face interview
… and, I was two weeks from my due date. I was
huge. And I was extremely intimidated. So, right
before the interview I stood in front of the bathroom mirror and put my hands on my hips like
Superwoman. I stood there for a good 10-minutes
in that pose and gave myself a little pep talk. I
walked into that room a superhero and nailed the
interview.
It is all about staying mentally strong and remembering how far you have come - so you can drive
forward to where you want to be.

It might be the very last thing that you want to do
when you are down or ready to quit but, turning on
happy music and singing along can do wonders for
your attitude and mindset.
In fact, a study published in the Journal Of Positive
Psychology found that listening to happy music
and singing or dancing along can help with depression and will lift your mood.
