T he expression “keep your business and personal life separate” really is just a big charade that people use to make themselves feel better about the real world. It’s a bold lie. Stop telling yourself that the two do not co-exist as one. As a business owner, I am passionate about what I have built. I take pride in what I do. I share my accomplishments and failures with those closest to me. I mean really, have you ever called your best friend to chat and then she asks, “how’s work”? To which you reply, “oh I’m sorry that is my business life and we are personal friends”. Or when your significant other comes home and asks how work was, you tell him/her, “sorry that is not any of your damn business”. I’m going to call bullshit. Life just doesn’t work that way. Stop denying the fact that both worlds are not one. It is completely normal to feel pain and hurt when someone acts cruel and mean in the business world. Losing a client or business relationship can hurt just as much as losing a best friend. You both had a fight and ended the relationship. You put so m
