I’m a huge fan of Epiphanies and
Shit (you can check that out in
one of the articles I’ve already
written for Badassery actually).
And I had this epiphany that if
I’m a CEO and it’s my business,
then I need to make a change,
a big honking change. I shed
NoBSBF like a snake skin and
stepped up and into my role as
CEO of Clearing the Rain. My
heart and soul are so happy and
dancing around because I finally
stopped listening to that dude,
Brain.
I know without a doubt that I
needed to have this experience to
up-level my business, my com-
pany, and my life. I know that
there was a divine timing in all of
this because, not only did those
things grow, but so did my spiri-
tual side and my soul.
I won’t give you all the details
about what went on at the bash,
you had to have been there
(HOO-HA!). But I will tell you
this:
~If you see an opportunity, don’t
wait for permission. Just do.
~Don’t pass up on something
because you don’t feel like you
deserve it. You do!
~Don’t expect others to make the
decision for you, that’s your job!
~Find a tribe of amazingly in-
spiring and motivating souls, yes,
souls; they will help yours sing.
~Don’t be afraid to try new
things and give into the total
experience. You might find you
like guacamole.
~Stop saying shit like “I can’t”
or “I don’t know”-You CAN and
you DO KNOW. You just haven’t
acted yet.
~Forgive yourself for all the times
where you let opportunities to
change your own life go. It’s
alright.
~Love yourself. You are the only
one going to bed with you at
night and waking up with you in
the morning.
~Stay up until the wee hours of
the morning drinking wine and
having deep conversation. This
is how soul connections are
made.
Above all, the thing that I would
love to drill into your proud head
is that there will be times where
you’re ready to piss yourself.
There are times when you’ll feel
like every chip is stacked against
you. Fuck, there are times when
everything comes crashing down
around you and you’re trapped
under a pile of rubble.
But there are times like these
when, according to Dave Grohl,
you learn to live again. And
there are times when you go into
an experience one person and
come out a completely different
one.
Sometimes, you come home a
CEO.
About the Author
Brittany is the CEO and Founder of Clearing the Rain, a com-

she’s not done yet. Her group, Under the Umbrella, is growing
all the time with people who want to change their lives and step
into their own true power. Be on the look out for her non-profit,
Clearing the Rain Foundation soon!
When she’s not doing CEO-type things with her business, she’s
riding motorcycle with her hot as fuck husband, playing with
her two rambunctious boys, reading, or doing artsy stuff. She
also enjoys having family movie nights, turning off her comput-
er, and hosting Bitches and Beers.
