it off . If the thing you dream of doing is huge , then break it down and chunk it off to baby steps . As long as you are taking small steps daily to your bigger goal , you will get there .
5 . HABITS
If you find you are more focused when you do something in your life , then make it a daily habit . If you exercise , meditate , take a walk , dance or get up early and it makes you feel better about tackling the day ahead , then make this part of your daily routine , so you are always coming at your day in the best possible way .
6 . ACCOUNTABILITY
I never truly understood the impact of accountability until the last couple of years , but wow , when you are working with someone and you need to get something done , being held accountable is so valuable . Even if you aren ’ t working with anyone- find an accountability buddy and check in weekly to see where you are at . You ’ ll be surprised at how much you get done when you have shared your intentions with others .
7 . PRIORITISE
When looking at the tasks you need to get done , make sure you prioritise and see what needs to be done more urgently than others , don ’ t pick the easiest task or the one you most enjoy .
8 . SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVITY
I find that when I ’ m surrounded by positivity , I ’ m more likely to get work done . If I ’ m surrounded by stress , negativity or mess , it can distract you and stop you getting anything achieved . So create yourself ( where possible ) a gorgeous workplace and surround yourself with anything that uplifts you and makes you feel good !
9 . PUT YOURSELF FIRST
If you aren ’ t sleeping good , not eating well or not drinking enough water , they can all cause procrastination . No one wants to do anything when they are tired or hungry , so make sure you look after yourself to give your day the best start .
10 . BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
One of the main causes of procrastination is insecurity or lack of belief in yourself . This will help no-one and you won ’ t get anything done if you are sat there worrying about your abilities or if you are good enough . Let ’ s get one thing straight- you are amazing ! We all are . If you are fretting about not being good enough- then take a break and do a little mindset work . A good quick exercise is to write out at least 20 things you are proud of about yourself .
I hope these few tips help you stop being unproductive and procrastinate and focus more on what you need to do . Now go be the badass that I know you are !
