Should golfers be lucky enough to escape from Alcatraz , the reward is the frightening par four 18th . The water hazard that stretches from the tee box up the entire left side of the fairway through the back of the green can make the most confident player bail out to the right . However , waiting on the right side of the fairway are deep faced bunkers from the landing area to the green . Imagine having to par these two holes to gain your PGA Tour card .
The Stadium Course and the Dinah Shore Tournament course are very much alike and different at the same time . Both courses are set in the beautiful Coachella Valley with mountain ranges providing breathtaking views . They are both wonderfully manicured , and the service is five star . Where they are different is the design . The Tournament Course is a traditional tree-lined design with minimal water hazards . The Stadium is the modern style course that uses water as visual intimidation as it ’ s challenge .
I must say I enjoyed myself equally on each course , but if I had to play the Stadium for the rest of my life I would need to have a good sense of humor .
