Goff and Ramey Take ANTIGUA / Haas-Jordan Pro-Pro

PGA Professionals Drew Goff and Kyle Ramey have earned the honor of being named the 2016 Gulf States PGA Antigua / Haas- Jordan Pro-Pro Champions after edging out their fellow players in a scorecard playoff at this year ’ s Section event held at The University Club of Baton Rouge on August 29th , 2016 .
Fifty-three players gathered on this picture-perfect day , forming 57 teams looking to claim the win . However , it was the team of PGA Assistant Professional Drew Goff of New Orleans Country Club and PGA Head Professional Kyle Ramey of Windance Country Club that would take it all after earning a team score of 6-under-66 .
Three other teams were tied at 6-under-66 .
“ They played a great round of team golf , especially on the back 9 ” said Patrick Murphy , tournament and player development director of the Gulf States PGA . He added , “ When one player made a mistake , the other made par or birdie on the same hole .”
“ We would like to thank Dan and Kitty Peoples for their sponsorship
along with Antigua , Haas-Jordan , and Lorente . This is the largest field we have had in years .”
The Gulf States PGA Section wishes to thank the event sponsors , Dan and Kitty Peoples of Antigua and Haas-Jordan , as well as Lorente and Brooks Brothers for providing a first-class event to all who participated . Todd Blackmar of Haas-Jordan was also on site to help support the event . The Section also thanks PGA Professionals Jared LeBouef , Clayton Wood , Frank Gumpert along with the staff at The University Club for all of their help in preparing for this tournament .
