The Fourth Annual Gulf States PGA Bushnell / Sun Mountain / Tournament Solutions 3 Pro Scramble Championship presented by Yamaha and Silver Slipper Casino Hotel named its Champions for 2016 at Timberton Golf Club in Hattiesburg , Mississippi , on Monday , April 4th .
This was the first Gulf States PGA event that we enabled “ live on-course scoring .” The GSPGA reports that response was positive to this new way of scoring , and it will be used at upcoming events .
Out of 13 teams totaling 39 players , this year ’ s winners included PGA Professionals Tyler Kuhn , Marshall http :// gspga . com / wp-content / uploads / 2016 / 04 / 2016- BushnellSun-MountainTournamnet-
Solutions-3-Pro-Scramble-Championship . jpg Saxon , and PGA Apprentice Greg Sonnier . Winning by 3 strokes , Marshall Saxon , Greg Sonnier of Lake Charles Country Club , along with Tyler Kuhn of Gray Plantation Golf Club , joined forces to shoot 17-under-55 .
Tyler Kuhn , the captain , said , “ We had a lot of fun together . It was a great event . That was the biggest key , we never felt any pressure and kept building on the momentum after the first hole . We would like to say thank you to Josh Lampley , Mike Scardino , and Jeff with Yamaha , the entire staff at Timberton , and the Gulf States PGA staff for such a great tournament .”
PGA Professionals Obie Agbasi , Jabir Bilal , and Henry Pointer took the runnersup position finishing the day at 14-under-58 .
