McNeese State’s Eriksson named
Men’s Golfer of the Year
FRISCO, Texas – McNeese
State senior Martin Eriksson was
named the 2015-16 Southland
Conference Men’s Golfer of
the Year after a vote of the
league’s head coaches and sports
information directors, the league
office announced in conjunction
with the release of the allconference teams.
Eriksson is the second McNeese
State golfer of the year to earn
the honor, joining Sigmundur
Masson, who earned the award in
2008. A native of Orebro, Sweden,
Eriksson is a three-time allconference selection and averaged
71.61 strokes in 38 rounds this
season. In 13 tournaments,
Eriksson finished in the top 10
