Team Smith/Pizzitola win Ping/Sterling Cut Glass Pro-Scratch METAIRIE, Louisiana – The PING/ Sterling Cut Glass Pro-Scratch named its Team Champions for 2016 at Audubon Park Golf Club on Monday, Nov. 14. This event has a unique format that involves one PGA Professional and one Amateur playing six holes scramble, six holes four ball, and six holes alternate shot. Out of a 19 teams totaling 38 players, this year’s winners were PGA Apprentice Jared Smith of Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Mike Pizzitola. Team Smith/Pizzitola shot an eight-under par 54 and edged their competition by one shot. Finishing tied for second was Team Kuhn/Holcombe and Team Ishee/Eagan. Closest to the Hole winners were PGA Apprentice Marie Gateley and Mike Pizzitola. Long Drive winners were PGA Apprentice Derek Plucienski and Drew Peeler.
