LGA announces 2016 championship schedule
The Louisiana Golf Association announced its 2016 Championship Schedule on Friday. The LGA will again conduct
ten championship and 16 qualifying events
during 2016, beginning the fourth weekend
in April with the Club Team Championship
and concluding the last weekend in September with the Senior 4-Ball Championship.
“We are excited about our 2016 LGA
championship schedule and the quality venues we can provide our players an opportunity to play,” said LGA Assistant Executive
Director Logan Ray. “The 2016 schedule
showcases facilities across the state of Louisiana that make a conscientious effort to give
back to the game by hosting our championships. We sincerely appreciate their support
and are looking forward to a fun and competitive 2016 season at these excellent golf
courses.”
The LGA’s 97th Amateur Championship,
an event that began in 1920, will be conducted June 9-12 at Carter Plantation in Springfield. This marks the first time that Carter
