MGAnews play golf mississippi license plates now available The wait is finally over! The Play Golf Mississippi Charitable License Plate is in production, and MGA staff will be informing those who pre-ordered a plate concerning pickup. The MGA would like to thank each and everyone of you who pre-purchased one of these plates to help reach the goal of 300 pre-sold tags. Without support, this would have never been a possibility. For those who have not already purchased one of these specialty license plates, they will be available for purchase when you renew your vehicle’s current tag through your county tax office. team fuselier wins jani-king pga pro-am The Jani-King PGA Pro-Am Series named its Team Champions for 2018 at University Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb. 19th. Out of an event high 28 teams totaling 112 players, this year’s winners included PGA Professional Wayne Fuselier and amateurs, James Fuselier, Martin Crawford, and David Hymel. Team Fuselier won with a score of 121(-23) on one of Louisiana’s most challenging golf courses. Finishing in second place, Team Obie Agbasi completed their day with a total score of 125 (-19). Keith Rappold took the Low Amateur with a net score of 67 (-5). Greg Sonnier, PGA Apprentice at Lake Charles Country Club, won the title of Low PGA Professional shooting an even par 72. The Gulf States PGA Section thanked Mike Biggs, JJ O’Neil, Chance Enmon, Jason Lambert of Jani-King and Kelly Welsh of Oakley for sponsoring this event. The Section also thanked members and staff at University Club including PGA General Manager Jared LeBouef, Head PGA Professional Andres Prieto, PGA Director of Membership Frank Gumpert, Food and Beverages Director Dave Danna, and Golf Course Superintendant Landon Braud. 23
