2018 Women ’ s State Amateur Championship
June 11-14 , 2018
Eligibility : The State Amateur is open to female amateurs who are residents of the State of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to June 11 , 2018 . All participants in Mississippi Golf Association State Championships are required to have an active GHIN Number through a Licensed Mississippi Member Club . Format : Field is limited to the first 96 accepted entries . An 18-hole qualifying round will be played on Monday , June 11 th , and Match Play begins Tuesday , June 12 th . Qualifier will be contested on two sets of tees / divisions . Players are required to select which division they would like to compete in . Divisions : Championship Division : between 5500 and 6000 yds . ( Suggested )
� The Championship flight qualifier will be limited to a minimum of sixteen ( 16 ) players and maximum of twenty-four ( 24 ) players ( including last years ’ champion ). If there are not 16 players signed up to compete , the remaining positions will be filled by the next lowest handicaps entered to include ties if required .
Regular Division : between 5200 and 5499 yds ( Suggested ) � Interested players will need to select the Regular Division on the entry form , keeping in mind the possibility of having to play in the Championship flight qualifier as stated above . � The Regular Division qualifier will be limited to 72 entrants with the lowest handicaps per the most recent GHIN revision prior
� to the tournament . Qualifying scores will be used to seed the remainder of the flights , starting in the first flight behind those non-selected Championship Division players . After the qualifying round , the low sixteen ( 16 ) players will make up the Championship flight and will play the remainder of the tournament ( match play ) from the existing Championship tee boxes . The players that did not qualify for the Championship flight will automatically be seeded into the First flight according to their qualifying scores , and will play the remainder of their tournament from the Regular Division tees . Refund Policy : If a player withdraws prior to the entry deadline she will receive a full refund , minus a $ 25.00 administration fee ( deducted from the entry fee not including processing fees ).
