2018 State Amateur Championship The Preserve Golf Club Vancleave , Mississippi June 21-24 , 2018
Eligibility : The State Amateur is open to male amateurs who are residents of the State of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to June 21 , 2018 . All participants in Mississippi Golf Association State Championships are required to have an active GHIN Number through a Licensed Mississippi Member Club . If not exempt , a participant must qualify through one of the qualifying sites or the open qualifier . Qualifier Format : Each is scheduled for 18 holes of stroke play . The number of players to advance is determined by the number of entries and exempt participants . A predetermined number of players will advance from the Open Qualifier as well . Amateur Format : The tournament is scheduled for 72 holes of stroke play with a cut to the low 60 (+ ties ) after 36 holes of play . Field size is limited to 120 players .
