junior golf season picks up speed
Gautier, MS- The State Games Junior
Championship was played at Hickory Hill
Country Club. In the different divisions
the juniors battled throughout a 36-holes
Championship format. In the Girls 9 and
under division Karstyn Altese won with one
under par 36. Greyson Hale shot 4-over
to become the medalist for the Boys (10-
11 division). Harper Hinckley became the
medalist for the Girls (10-12 division) after
posting two rounds of 8-over. The medalist
in the Boys (12-13 division) was William
Marshall with a 2-round total score of 173.
Madeline Yu was the two-day leader and
medalist in the (12 – 13) Girls division after
two rounds of 81 and 78. Mcconaughey
Hickman won the Boys (14 – 15) division.
Abigail Wickham and Sam Lee were the
two overall 16-18 Boys and Girls (13 – 18)
division medalist. Outstanding Performance
of Future LSU Tiger, Presley Baggett, at the
Women’s State Amateur.
