ramey’s round one sets up victory;
reshew’s round two is just enough
The Ladd’s/Club Car MS PGA
Championship named its 2017 Regular
and Senior Division Champions June 5-6
at Windance Country Club in Gulfport,
Mississippi.
Host PGA Professional Kyle Ramey
opened the first round with a personal
best 9-under, 63, capping off the back
nine with an eagle on hole 12, finding
himself with an impressive lead. Ramey
finished round two with a one-over par,
73, bringing his two-day total to eight-
under par, 136, which sealed his victory
of the Championship.
Theo Reshew, PGA, Instructor at
Diamondhead Country Club, opened
round one shooting a one-under par, 71,
and had an impressive round two shooting
four-under par, 68, bringing his two-day
total to five-under par, 139, which was
just enough to seal his victory, crowning
him as the Senior Division Champion.
Regular Division Runner-Ups included
Chip Sullivan, PGA, of Pearl, Mississippi
and Rick Gehr, PGA, of Fallen Oak.
Senior Division Runner-Up was Jerry
Covich, PGA, of Ocean Springs,
Mississippi.
The weather held for two beautiful
rounds of golf with clear blue skies and
sunshine. The conditions were perfect for
the Championship.
The Gulf States PGA would like to thank
Host PGA Professional, Kyle Ramey, Head
Golf Course Superintendent, Gavin Bauer, and
the complete staff and membership at Windance
Country Club, for their hard work that went
into making this event a great success. The Gulf
