LGA once again partners with Zurich
Classic and Fore!Kids Foundation
The Louisiana Golf Association
(LGA) is pleased to announce a
continued partnership with the
Zurich Classic of New Orleans and
the Fore!Kids Foundation.
This
partnership between the governing
body of amateur golf in Louisiana
and the state’s only PGA TOUR
event will serve to strengthen the
game of golf in Louisiana.
The Zurich Classic will be played
Thursday, April 26 – Sunday, April
29, 2018 at LGA Member Club TPC
Louisiana in New Orleans. The 2018
tournament will once again feature a
2-Man Team Format that consists of
two days of Foursome and two days of
Four-Ball competition to determine a
champion. This format is exclusively
played at the Zurich Classic, and it
was a huge it for competitors and fans
alike in 2017. The event continues
to garner widespread interest among
PGA TOUR members and resulted
in several high-profile commitments,
including Jason Day, Rickie Fowler,
Brooks Koepka, Justin Rose, Jordan
Spieth, Henrik Stenson, Justin
Thomas, and Bubba Watson.

Zurich Classic is a first-class event
that raises a tremendous amount
of money for children’s charities. It
is an event that embodies the spirit
of the game in our state: historic,

The LGA will be on site at TPC
Louisiana for Wednesday’s Practice
Round all the way through Sunday’s
Final Round. We will be manning a
booth at FanFest, located to the left
of the 18th fairway. Patrons should
stop by to check out the fun and enter
numerous prize giveaway contests.

supportive the LGA over the years
and has hosted a number of LGA
Championships,
including
the
2007 and 2012 State Amateur
Championship, 2015 Mid-Amateur,
