USGA forms new partnership with LGA, MGA & regional golf associations The LGA and MGA have entered into a new relationship with the United States Golf Association, becoming one of 59 regional golf associations throughout the country named as new Allied Golf Associations (AGAs). The partnership aims to enhance the golfer experience at the state and local levels in the United States. “We are honored and excited to begin a more formalized partnership with the USGA,” said LGA Executive Director, Logan Ray. “This will be a win for not only our organization and the USGA, but most importantly, for all golfers in Louisiana and across the country. We look forward to providing even more value added benefits to our members and member clubs as a result of this partnership. We will continue to evolve together and progress the game of golf and serve its best interests.” As an AGA, the LGA will continue to administer the USGA Handicap and Course Rating Systems within its defined geographic area, the entire state of Louisiana. Additionally, it will serve as the region’s primary resource for USGA services such as championship qualifiers, governance, golf facility support, and programs that help grow and improve the long-term health of the game. “We are excited to have a new partnership with the USGA,” said MGA Executive Director, Margo Coleman. “We are honored to be one of 59 AGAs
