MGA seeks volunteers for web.com event
The Web.com Tour is coming to
North Mississippi. In April, the North
Mississippi Classic will be played
at the Country Club of Oxford.
Just like the PGA Tour event, The
Sanderson Farms Championship,
volunteers are needed.
Volunteer Opportunities:
ADMISSIONS & WILL CALL -
Welcome guests, sell tickets and assist
with ticket pick-ups and drop-offs.
Committee Days: Monday, April
16 - Sunday April 22
CADDIE BIBS - This committee
will assist and manage caddie bibs
throughout the week

17 - Sunday, April 22
DRIVING RANGE - Responsible
for ball distribution and placement
of player name cards

GOLF CART SHUTTLES
- Assist with shuttling Players
and Caddies from different areas
throughout the golf course.

MARSHALS - Responsible for
maintaining crowd control, and
golf etiquette among spectators.
Duties also include guiding players
and caddies from one hole to the
next, spot balls, monitoring cart
movement on cart paths and assisting
with the evacuation of players
during inclement weather delays or
whenever deemed necessary.
Committee Days: Wednesday,
April 18 - Sunday, April 22
OPERATIONS - Assist with set-up
and maintenance of the operations.
May include assisting vendors to set
up scoreboards, televisions, golf carts,
hospitality structures, signs, fencing,
and various other items. Manual
labor is a primary function, and can
include lifting heavy boxes, stake and
rope, and other physical activities on
course. (Majority of this area’s work
is done before the tournament)
PARKING-Manage parking lots
and coordinate parking and shuttles.
Consists of ensuring people are
parking in the correct locations and
answering general questions.

PRO AM - Assist with overall Pro
Am operations.

17 & Wednesday, April 18
RUNNERS - Responsible for
assisting Web.com officials with
routing scorecards after play and
copies to appropriate locations.

19- Sunday, April 22
SPONSOR SERVICES - Greet
guests, check credentials and provide
wristbands at entrances to corporate
hospitality locations. Ensure only
properly credentialed clients are
allowed inside venue, assist marshals
with noise control. You will also work
with the catering staff to ensure each
area is properly stocked and cleaned.

STANDARD
BEARERS
- Accompany each group of
professionals during play and display
their scores. *Must be able to carry a
standard sign (weight approximately
5-7 pounds) while walking 18 holes
(approximately 5 miles)

TRANSPORTATION - Assists
with shuttling players and caddies
from the clubhouse to the No. 10 and
back and forth.*Must be 21 years
of age, provide a U.S. issued valid
driver’s license, and submit a motor
vehicle record report.

VOLUNTEER
CENTER
-
Responsible
for
operation
of
Volunteer Center during
tournament week. Duties include
managing morning and afternoon
meals, assisting volunteers, etc.
Opportunities to assist prior to
tournament week with inventory,
packaging and distribution of
volunteer apparel and credentials.

VOLUNTEER
UNIFORMS-
This committee will be responsible for
setting up and supervising volunteer
uniform and credential distribution
a few weeks prior to the tournament.
Duties include: distribution of
credential packets, inventory, money
handling, set-up and breakdown.
Committee Days: 1st week of
April
WALKING SCORER - Record
statistics and scores for players on
a hand held device as part of the
PGA TOUR ShotLink syst em. Must
have knowledge of golf scorekeeping
and statistics and be able to walk all
18 holes (approximately 5 miles).
*All volunteers must attend a
MANDATORY training session with
Web.com officials

How Do I Volunteer?
The volunteer registration fee is
$25 and includes the following:
- (1) Volunteer Polo
- (1) Volunteer Hat
- (1) Volunteer Badge
- (4) Good Any Day Tickets
- Opportunity to play a round of
golf at The Country Club of Oxford
(Must volunteer 15 or more hours
during Tournament Week)
*Food and Beverage provided
during volunteer shift(s)

Students and Youth volunteers can
register for free, but must register
under the appropriate registration
form.
