INTRODUCTION Ravensbourne’s Fashion Promotion students study a range of specialisms within the field, graduating as well-rounded professionals with a range of key transferrable skills. Students develop a range of competencies in the areas of research, consumer profiling and fashion marketing including fashion history, fashion film, fashion writing, development of creative campaigns and campaign management. They gain an insight into fashion photography, styling and art direction and develop CAD skills for info-graphics so that they have the digital expertise to communicate effectively in this highly competitive industry. All our Fashion Promotion students take up a fully accredited ten-week placement as part of their degree, and such is our commitment to industry exposure, many of them graduate with experience in numerous fashion industry sectors and brands. They will leave Ravensbourne as competent, versatile graduates and entrepreneurs ready to compete in this dynamic industry. They are trained to look to the future, to identify gaps in the market and to communi­ cate how these might be filled with creative business initiatives. Potential careers in fashion promotion include fashion marketing, fashion public relations, fashion manage­m ent, fashion photography, art direction and curating and writing for both the physical and digital future of fashion.
