2GO’s Give me 5
for kids has raised
$241,424 this year
How it all started
In the 1994, 2GO’s Breakfast Show Announcer and co-
host to Paddy Gerard, Sarah King was in Sydney and
attempted to pay for parking with some loose change
which included 5 cent pieces. The attendant told
Sarah that she could not use 5 cent pieces to pay.
On air the next morning, Sarah was discussing this with
her co-host and put the call out to listeners to see what
they thought we could do with these coins “deemed
useless” - that day Give Me 5 For Kids was born.
Since launching Give Me 5 For Kids, the charity drive
has raised millions of dollars, but we cant do it without
the help out of The Central Coast.
Where does the money go?

All monies raised STAYS ON THE CENTRAL COAST.
Each year, 2GO donates money raised to the Gosford
Children’s Hospital’s Children’s fund, facilitating the
purchase of paediatric equipment and services for
the kids of the Central Coast to keep them here for
their treatment as opposed to travelling to Sydney
and Newcastle Hospitals. The charity also selects and
supports Camp Breakaway, a local organisation who
provides respite camps for sick kids and their families.
2GO is passionate about bettering the lives of our
community and ensuring that our kids receive the best
care possible. All monies raised through Give Me 5
For Kids goes DIRECTLY to the charit
