Includes displays of Bonsai, Suiseki, Ikebana, Calligraphy, Silk Kimonos. Have you already picked up a few new Japanese words? Many people enjoy collecting and displaying stones, Suiseki is the Japanese art of stone appreciation. Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging that emphasizes form and balance. Bonsai and Calligraphy are better known art Japanese art forms, and Aikido is a Japanese Marital art Sat Wyong at the Races 2 nd Exhibition to 15 th Sep Alison Homestead, 1 Cape Road, Wyong. 10am - 2pm As part of History Week and to celebrate Wyong’s long and successful horse racing history and its connection with Alison Homestead Estate, we are proud to present this special exhibition which will include some special pieces of racing memorabilia donated by Wyong Race Club on display at the Museum. Get your bake on and enter the Australian Springtime Festival Baking Competition. Take out bragging rights among your friends and family by being awarded 1st, 2nd or Highly Commended Ribbons. The competition has four divisions: Children under 12; Teens 13-17 years; Fruit Cakes & Open. Cost: $1:00 per entry Entries to be delivered ready for judging between 8.30 and 9.30 am.
