There are also efforts to repeal the “death tax” which is a financial penalty that hurts people trying to pass down small farms and family owned business after a death in the family. Regulations Efforts to reform and/or repeal Dodd-Franks will support the goals of many of our local banks. Trade Over 3 million jobs in Texas are affected by trade laws. There are over $2 trillion dollars of profit are stranded overseas. There are talks about repatriating those dollars back into the U.S. to help reduce the deficit or fund transportation. The delegation was thanked many times by several elected officials and their staff for coming to DC to provide input.
