volunteer FOCUS Ambassador of the Month Are you interested in representing your business as an Ambassador? Visit www.bcschamber.org for program details and an Ambassador application or contact [email protected]. www.bcschamber.org When I was a College Station City Councilman, I found the good working relationship between the City Council and the Chamber of Commerce both beneficial and enjoyable. After term-limiting off in November 2012, I joined the Chamber to continue to serve as a volunteer with a group interested in making B/CS a community with an even higher quality of Dave Ruesink life. I am also proud to be an Ambassador B/CS Sister Cities in an exceptionally highly committed group of Ambassadors. It is also a pleasure to represent the B/CS Sister Cities at the Chamber events. What is Sister Cities? Sister Cities International promotes peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation—one individual, one community at a time. Our B/CS Sister Cities Association facilitates mutual cultural understandings, educational relationships, and technical and economic development. We promote exchange programs for both high school youth and adults. Our current Sister Cities are Greisfwald, Germany; Salamanca, Mexico; and Bastogne, Belgium. Connections March 2015 5
