The Chamber Goes to Austin to Brief the 84th Session
Burl Haigwood, Director of Operations & Public Policy
Was your New Year’s resolution to do something to get more
involved and better help improve our government? If so -- we
have just the trip for you. We have surveyed our membership,
our Legislative Affairs Committee and Board of Directors has
approved our 2015 State Legislative Action Plan, and we are
going to Austin! A group of Chamber members takes the plan
to Austin February 3-4. We will present it to every state House
and Senate office. If you would like to be involved in the state
legislative process please contact the Chamber (members
only). Space is limited and there are a few required meetings
you will need to attend prior to the trip to ensure everyone
understands the mission and can effectively complete their
assignments.
