Modern Apprenticeships

The College is working well with employers across the region to support a range of models to
deliver Modern Apprenticeships (MAs), including day release and workplace assessment. Figures
from Skills Development Scotland show that there were 1,970 MA starts across the region in
2012-13. The College, based on actuals from the former Ayr and Kilmarnock Colleges, delivered
165 of these, representing 8.4 per cent of the regional total across all training providers.
