RAISING ASPIRATIONS // INSPIRING ACHIEVEMENT // INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES Funding to recruit and train young people Funding through Funding through Skills Ayrshire Chamber Development Scotland of Commerce If you have 100 employees or less you can apply for up to £5,000 through Flexible Training Opportunities towards employee training costs. The money is not a loan so there’ no need to pay s it back. Employers can get a £1,500 cash incentive through the Targeted Recruitment Incentive to give work of at least 15 hours per week to a young person with a disability. This funding is also available to employers willing to offer jobs to young carers, care leavers and ex-offenders. Advice on specific health and safety issues in the workplace and give guidance on modifications to organisational policy or practice. The £1,500 Legacy 2014 Employer Recruitment Incentive is available to employers with less than 150 employees who recruit 16 to 19 year old Modern Apprentices in selected apprenticeship frameworks.
