I work for Newton Press as key account manager and I’ve recently been appointed to the Aycliffe Business Park Community board of directors. 2. Who have you worked for in the past? Mainly in the commercial laundry world at Stanland/ Ashbank and JLA ltd but also at QNET and my first job was as a park ranger at Stewart Park in Middlesbrough. 3. Best part of your job? 4. 5. I am a very sociable person, so definitely getting to speak to many different people and businesses. Is there anything about your job that you really don’t like? No, not really. If I was pushed, then maybe all the food on offer when networking, which seems to have destroyed my once Adonis-like body, but really I love it. Favourite thing about working on Aycliffe Business Park? I love the community spirit. Working on ABP has shown how, by working together and helping one another, you can make the area a great place to work and make it a stronger area collectively. 6. Which company/individual on the park do you do 7. 8. 9. the most work with? Too many to mention. Who’s your tip for future success? Crafters Companion – we have supplied Sara from start-up and think it’s a fantastic business with great ideas and potential. It will go from strength-to-strength. Four famous people you’d love to have round for dinner and why? Freddie Mercury, Richard Branson, Marilyn Monroe and Juninho. To sing, learn, dance and laugh. If you could do something else in business, what would it be? I would like to work in and help and support people who suffer from mental health problems. 12. What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve 13. If money was no object, what would be your ideal It has to be Greggs without a shadow of a doubt, they are really humorous. Although Middlesbrough FC seem to have someone new running their Twitter account and that is also good. 11. Have you ever done anything really daring? I have abseiled down the Transporter Bridge which is something that was daring for me. car? Apart from the obvious Ferrari, my favourite car to own would be a Nissan GTR. 14. Money no object, your dream holiday would be? Somewhere warm where I could take along my family and friends for a treat. 15. Do you have a favourite band or type of music? I like all genres of music really – my iPod on shuffle is certainly an interesting mix that flicks between one genre and another. But I’d say that my favourite is probably Rap, Hip-Hop & R&B. 16. What is your greatest achievement? Without question, my daughter. 17. How would you best describe yourself in four words? Tall, dark, handsome… and a joker. 18. Where do you see yourself in five years? Hopefully still working for Newton Press but perhaps in a more managerial role, to help the business to continue to grow and to be here for at least another 56 years. 19.
