“ I feel very wanted , and that ’ s why I ’ m still alive today .”
I am 84 . I was born in Clifton , New Jersey . I sell antiques . I used to do commercial real estate in New York City , and I was in fashion as well . I went to FIT . My one living angel is my son . He is kind , compassionate , and takes care of me . He ’ s considerate of my feelings and of my well-being . We travel , we go to the theatre , enjoy the arts , and go to dinner at nice restaurants . We live together now . We didn ’ t always .
Since my husband passed away , he ’ s been there . I have neighbors that support me , I have friends that support me , and I feel like they ’ re not only doing it out of the goodness of their hearts , but because they really care . I also have 2 little dogs that I love , Tootsie and Taco . I feel very wanted , and that ’ s why I ’ m still alive today .
