PHOENIX HOUSE Phoenix have had a super start to the autumn term with lots of students exemplifying our core values on a daily basis. Year 7, 8 and 9 have been working hard and doing their best. As a result of this, they have amassed over 1000 house points in each year group and Year 10 and 11 are now very close to achieving this too. Several students demonstrated how proud they are of the school when they volunteered to help out at the Year 11 Parents’ Evening. Students continue to behave well with all year groups having fewer negative sleuth points than this time last year. Year 10 mentors and Year 8 buddies in particular, have shown great respect and a caring attitude towards our new Year 7 members of Phoenix. We have donated a large quantity of food to the Rugby Foodbank and bought lots of chocolate to raise money for our house charity – Team Joel: Teenage Cancer Trust. Finally, lots of students participated in the 5-a-side football competition with Year 7 and 8 doing really well and Phoenix becoming the overall winners. Well done to all Phoenix students for this super start – lets hope that this half term continues to be as good, if not better.
