Year 8 STEM Day
Globus Year 8 STEM Morning
On 20 th June fifty students from Year 8 were
selected to take part in the Globus Energy
Quest Energiser Event. The students were
selected from some of our most able
Science, Mathematics, Technology and Pupil
Premium students.
We were visited by a STEM Ambassador
from Tomorrow’s Engineers who delivered an
interactive workshop. The programme is
designed to encourage young people to find
out about sustainable energy and learn about
associated engineering careers.
The first part, the Energiser Workshop, was
packed with hands-on activities, careers
information and stories from real engineers
working in energy. Students received their
own workbook to capture learning as they
explored concepts of energy generation,
sustainability and technologies.

fun for the students who were challenged to
