Football Festivals
Our PE department hosted three KS1 Football
Festivals recently. Huge thanks to the super
year 9, 10 & 11 leaders who did a splendid job
of coaching and refereeing all morning - you
were fabulous again! Roughly 700 year 1 & 2
children attended the events over three
mornings, from a wide range of feeder primary
schools. Children took part in carousel of
activities including a variety of skills sessions
and some friendly football matches. The
weather was glorious and the light breeze was
most welcome. Many thanks to the community
support from Bilton Ajax, Sky Blues in the
Community and FDS Academy - it was a great
morning for football topped off at the end by a
surprise visit from Coventry City mascot Sky
Blue Sam!
