With just a few weeks to go until the end of
term, there are a number of events approaching
that mark the end of the school year.
Year 7 students are going on a PGL trip to
Swindon from 15 th -17 th June. They have
already been informed about the details and
both staff and students are looking forward to
the activities which include quad biking and
rafting.
The Year 11 Prom will take place on Friday 29 th
June. The tickets are available to buy from the
School Gateway for £10, or from the Finance
office. Year 11 students are asked to return
their locker key and any donations of unwanted
school uniform and PE kit are welcome. Any
student making a donation will be given a raffle
ticket to win prizes.
Sports day takes place on Wednesday 18 th
July. This is a wonderful opportunity to
celebrate the amazing sporting prowess of our
students. During the day students will be given
the opportunity to wear House colours and
support their House athletics team.
SPLASH day is on Friday 13 th July. Students
should have already handed in their choices.
Some trips have filled up very quickly and some
students are now being asked for their second
choice options. Regardless of whether it is your
first, second or third choice, all students will
have a great day they will remember for a long
time.
However, despite the many enjoyable activities
to look forward to, there is still a lot of learning
to take place before we break up for the
summer holidays! Students must continue to
maintain high standards, arriving on time
smartly dressed, and equipped to learn for all
lessons.

This half term the
theme of the week is
‘The Environment’. This
week students have
been looking at the is-
sue of plastics in the
ocean. There are many
recycling opportunities within school with
recycling points for paper and plastic.
At home this hopefully continues with Rugby
Borough Council providing blue-lid bins to
take all of your "dry recyclables". Please
rinse your recycling to make sure everything
is as clean as possible before putting it into
your bin - don't put anything in plastic bags
or bin bags or it won't get recycled. General
waste, combustible waste and food waste
must not be put in the blue-lid bin as these
will contaminate the entire lorry load, and
may cause the load to be tipped instead of
recycled.
