Goodbye
Class of 2018
On Wednesday 13th June we said goodbye to our Year 11 students
in their leavers’ assembly. From now on Year 11 will only come into
school for their exams and structured revision sessions. After
working with them for the last five years we wish them all the best
for the future and look forward to seeing them at the school’s prom
on Friday 29th June.
More details about revision sessions, home study and other leaving
arrangements can be found on our website:

Year 11 Uniform Donations
As your child reaches the end of their
time at The Avon Valley School, I
wanted to thank you for your support
over the last five years. The supportive
relationship that has existed between
home and school has been a
significant benefit to us as a school and
to your child’s progress and
development. As your son/daughter
moves on to the next stage of
education I wanted to let you know how
much I have appreciated your
commitment to the school and with you
and your child all the very best for the
future.
As your child moves on they will be
taking with them a lifetime of
memories—but one thing that many of
them will not with to keep for posterity
is their uniform! I appreciate of course
that in some families this will be
recycled to a younger sibling but if, in
your household, it is destined for the
charity shop or the bin then the school
would be very grateful for any
donations of unwanted uniform that
can be recycled for other students. In
particular the school frequently lends
out blazers and ties and these two
items would be of immediate use to
us. Students wishing to donate any
items after they have completed their
final exam will be given a raffle ticket
in return, this raffle will be drawn on
prom night.
With my very best wishes for the future
for yourself and your family.
