This involved the students creating 4 baked items as part of an afternoon tea menu within controlled conditions. Afternoon teas are very popular and are an excellent way for chefs to demonstrate their skills at producing baked products. The students must be commended for their organisation prior to the exam, in the planning and preparation of the menu. This is in addition to the outstanding effort and high quality finish, demonstrated in the final products. It is clear to see that the students had high aspirations and were ready to rise to the challenge. The examinations were a great success and I would like to thank everyone for their support, particularly parents/carers, and subject teachers for their patience throughout.
