We recently staged a Year 1 and 2 Primary schools football festival with over 200 pupils arriving onto the Avon
Valley Field to take part in a mixture of football skills, drills and matches, as well as some general fitness
sessions. Again the helpers from Years 7-10 showed excellent maturity in their preparation, organisation and
delivery of some really good sessions that were enjoyed by all the pupils; we even managed to pack up just
before the downpour of rain at the end of the day!
Congratulations to all pupils involved, keep up the hard work – they may well be after Mr Goldthorp’s job in a
few years time!

a big success, the kids enjoyed it and we
had a lot of positive feedback from staff. I
really appreciate the extra lengths you
went to make the event a success, such
as driving around picking up the goals
and getting the mini-pitches marked out.
The leaders did a great job, their
sessions were excellent and the referees
were fantastic. Some of the coaching
points were great, and they had a lovely
rapport with the primary kids - I had a few
comments from school staff on how good
the leaders were."
