Year 11 Leavers’ Prom 2016
As usual the Prom on Friday 24th June saw a wide variety of spectacular entrances, stunningly beautiful
dresses and sharp tailored suits. It is an event that always brings mixed feelings; one of sadness that the
small, scared students that joined us in September 2011 have grown up in front of our very eyes and one of
excitement that the confident, mature young adults they have grown into, are now leaving us to pursue other
paths in education and life.
This year we welcomed Mark Tavisconni to the Prom; a member of the Magic Circle. He amazed the students
with his card tricks and his magic in making Georgia Earle’s ring appear from nowhere! Sam Letts, an ex AVS
student, provided the music and there were fireworks to end the night.
Brandon and Jess were voted our Prom King and Queen by their peers and looked very fetching in their
crowns.
An enjoyable and memorable night was had by all.
