Year 9 Catering Student Cristian Covaliuc has progressed to the regional final of the Future Chef competition . Cristian recently competed against students from other schools in the local round of the competition held at Stratford-upon-Avon College . Cristian will now progress to the next round , which will be held at University College Birmingham in February 2017 . To help him prepare for the next round Cristian has been assigned a chef mentor . Cristian , who aspires to work in the food industry , said , “ I really enjoy cooking and can ’ t wait for the second round . I am going to develop my dishes to make them even better .” Carrie Daly , Catering Teacher , said : “ Cristian is a very talented chef . In his catering lessons he often shows flair and is not afraid of taking creative risks in his cooking . We are hoping that this superb experience will be an enjoyable , but spooky evening .
The aim of the trip is to broaden students ’ exposure to the theatre , and performance of literary texts .
Tickets are still available - please see Mrs Walsh in the English Faculty Office . The cost is £ 18 per student . We will leave school at 6pm and arrive back at 10pm . Don ’ t miss out !
