Garrick House As I discussed in assembly a couple of weeks ago, this is by far the most difficult part of year. As we approach Christmas it is often difficult to stay motivated, with the dark, cold mornings meaning that lethargy starts to creep in. Despite this, it’s been wonderful to see so many Garrick House students continue to excel across the school, with Year 11 in particular working incredibly hard in after school revision sessions and during their lessons as they begin to think about the best ways to progress this academic year and after they leave us in the summer. The final week before Christmas is one of my favourite times of year with so many great events to get in- volved in. The Christmas dinner that we will have as a House on Wednesday 20 th December is a great oppor- tunity for us to gather, and there is always a wonderful atmosphere with staff and students given the oppor- tunity to celebrate together. The Christmas assembly is also something to look forward to and I thoroughly hope that the Year 7 students enjoy their first one. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone from each of the four houses a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2018!
