Following Pages: 2 A-10s from the 107th Fighter Squadron "Red Devils" escorted the paratroopers to the drop zone. The following pages showcase the squadron's Warthogs, including one that sported a rare paint scheme commemorating the 100th anniversary of the "Red Devils." This paint scheme was inspired by one of the unit's P-51 Mustangs that flew over Normandy during WW2. During the war, the 107th provided more than 9,000 intelligence photos to the Allied High Command in the weeks before D-Day, paving the way for the invasion. The commemorative flyover represented an emotional return to Normandy for the Red Devils, their first since the war.
