You can then take a walk to the Vernissage, a flea market popular with tourists. The market is situated behind the Republic Square metro station of Yerevan. Vernissage is a large open-air market in Yerevan where one can look around and choose from a wide variety of souvenirs. The market lies between Aram and Byouzand Streets at a length of 500 meters, connecting Khanjyan and Nalbandyan Streets. The flea market mainly features a collection of various types of traditional Armenian art works.

A visit to Vernissage should be planned during the weekend. It is an outdoor art gallery-fair located in the park covering the area from Hanrapetoutyan Street to Khanjyan Street. Here one can buy art works, paintings, sculptures, instruments, carpets, souvenirs, jewelry and other handmade works.
