There are many bars, pubs, and night clubs in Yerevan’s city center, especially in the area of the so-called bar district. The “district” is found within the area formed by Parpetsi, Pushkin, Saryan, and Tumanyan Streets. The bars in this area are close to each other, so, if you dislike one you can easily move on to another. Yerevan’s night life offers a vast array of options to please locals and tourists alike, and caters to all tastes and nationalities. While many bars may not be open all night long, others stay open until late hours, becoming a social hub for those who like to have fun all night long. Unlike European Union countries, smoking is allowed in most indoor places in Armenia. Foreigners are greeted very warmly everywhere and every bar has a menu in English, and more often than not, in Russian as well. Local draught beers are very popular for visitors.
