Welcome to Yerevan

Yerevan Basics :

If you intend to travel to Armenia and explore Yerevan and the nearby surroundings, the information below will help you organize your trip before and during your visit.

Before You Go: Be sure to check passport and visa regulations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as

guidelines are subject to change at any time. Passports are required for all visitors, even children. Citizens of the United States, the European Union

member states, the Commonwealth of Independent States and other countries with whom Armenia has special

agreements, do not need to obtain a visa for entry. Furthermore, there is a list of countries whose nationals are limited to apply for a visitor visa by invitation only.

Citizens of these countries need apply at embassies or consulates of the Republic of Armenia overseas before travelling. This limitation does not apply to Armenian nationals who are citizens of the countries on this list. They may obtain a visa without invitation upon arrival in Armenia.

Visas may be obtained at any time upon arrival at the 24-hour service point for visa issuance and registration at Zvartnots International Airport. Payment for visas shall be made exclusively in Armenian drams (AMD). For ease and convenience, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers the option of an electronic visa or e-visa, allowing travelers to get their visas entirely online in advance. An e-visa grants the same permissions as the standard visa but there is no stamp or label applied in passport.
