Safety and efficient service top our agenda in this digital era

Its back ! Your comprehensive Auto Industry magazine is back after taking a break to refresh our look . Packed with topical industry issues and statistics , this edition of the new AutoNews magazine also serves as an exciting ‘ drive ’ down the current motoring space a special captions dedicated to Industry Players and their products .

This year , AA Kenya marks its 98th year since it was founded , and we are excited about revamping our offering to include a more digital interface with our members thereby enhancing interaction and engagement on our social media platforms as well as through customized Online and Mobile Applications . This is part of our commitment to create more value for our members who are simply the reason we exist . From a sector perspective , we ’ ve seen Kenya become more motorized with a significant increase in vehicle registrations and motorbikes on our roads ; we believe it is as a result of a favourable tax regime backed by the demand for affordable transport in peri urban and rural areas . Unfortunately this has resulted in an increase in road crashes resulting in serious injuries and fatalities .
The Government through the National Transport and Safety Authority ( NTSA ) has implemented numerous interventions and sought partnerships with Road Safety Stakeholders in the Private sector to address the issue . As one of the key players in the sector , AA spearheaded targeted Road Safety initiatives in line with NTSA policies geared to impact the PSV Matatu sector ,
school going children and general road users . We also partnered with NTSA to revise the Driver Training curriculum soon to be used in all our driving schools nationally .
Read more about our successful Msamaria Mwema PSV Road Safety campaign implemented in partnership with St . John ’ s Ambulance and the Matatu Owners Association . We trained 651 Matatu drivers on First Aid Skills , Drug & Substance Abuse and Defensive Driving , transforming them from being a menace on the road to good Samaritans equipped to Stop . Act and Save a Life .
AA Kenya intends to remain part of this important conversation and change the current situation on our roads . We request your support , patience and participation as we improve our services and grow our membership offering .
