The ability to accurately control pressure is a central aspect of operating any water network. Pressure needs to be consistently high enough to satisfy the customer, but excessive pressure drives up leakage, burst frequency, energy consumption, and operational costs, whilst decreasing the lifespan of network assets.
Basic pressure management The challenge of accurately controlling pressure is complicated by the fact pressure varies uniquely across each network, constantly shifting with changing patterns of demand and outside events.
